I have the unit with Silent Reds. I was warned it would feel mushy compared to regular switches but I found it pleasant. It’s a very dense silicone damper which doesn’t feel harsh either. Has the characteristic Cherry scratchiness though.
The body itself is sturdy and heavy. Good cable routing options. Some grease applied to the stabs from factory which is appreciated for someone who doesn’t want to open the keyboard. Stabs themselves are of excellent quality with no rattle. Plain white LED, which is what I prefer but keycaps don’t allow backlight. Possibly my only complaint against the keyboard.

A great TKL board for Mac users, the “VA87M Mac” checked all the boxes for me when I was looking into what mech to go for with my desktop setup.
The build of the keyboard is sturdy and it has a satisfying weight to it that stops it from moving on your desk, and gives the keys a nice solid base when typing. There is no flex on the keyboard deck and the materials feel high quality and worth the premium. The cable is long, and high quality, though it is odd to me that the keyboard uses the very much out of date “Mini USB” connection.
I went with the Cherry MX Blue switches, and they are well lubricated and have nice tactile feedback. The function keys along the top row are well mapped to MacOS specific functions and match the keyboards that Apple makes for their computers. It was very easy to switch to this keyboard from the Magic Keyboard I was using before. The backlight is good, though I wish the keycaps included would have had transparent markings so that keys could be easier to read in the dark. The VA87M Mac also uses simple shortcut commands to change settings and switch between Windows and Mac modes, which I found very convenient.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase, and can readily recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for a small mechanical keyboard for their Mac setup.

This is an amazing keyboard. The moment you start typing on this keyboard, you know that the build quality is excellent. I got the Brown switches and they are buttery smooth. It’s only been a few days since I started using this keyboard. So I’ll need to wait longer to see how it stands the test of time. But so far, I have no regrets!
